Many of my ocean designs are inspired by my time scuba diving, especially in Utila, Honduras. In these Caribbean waters you can go whaleshark spotting between your dives. They are nicknamed ‘gentle giants’ as many forget they are actually sharks. I don’t think I ever truly appreciated the majesty of these enormous creatures until I was snorkelling in the water behind them. Albeit gentle, they sure can be fast - with one flick of their mighty tail, they glide away through the water at such a speed, no snorkeler ever stands a chance of keeping them in their sights!
Also featured are Pedersen cleaner shrimp, vase corals, staghorn coral, hammerheads, Tiger sharks and the juvenile Yellowbar or Halfmoon angelfish. Angelfish are some of the prettiest fish on the reef and most snorkelers dream of seeing these beautiful little fish underwater.
